faux-romantics

So, a quick gmail search indicates that I finally listened to Los Campesinos! (punctuation theirs) on about April 24th. I was basically immediately in love and when I realized they’d be in town tonight, I was gonna go, regardless of the facts that 1) there are shows the next two nights as well and 2) apparently, nobody else cares about them. Well, I went into today thinking that was the case, thankfully Caseus’s/Tweaks’s new roommate is the shit and decided to come with, bringing along her northlander friend.

cool beans

Well, what Tweaksy wants, Tweaksy gets, it would seem. Not that there was a chance in hell I was going to neglect writing up one of the most surreal concertgoing experiences of my life, but it’s nice to know we’re her go-to review, especially considering how unprofessional my reviews tend to be. The short story: last night we saw Radiohead at Nissan Pavilion in, I’m pretty sure, Burma.

Shows, showmanship

So since the most common complaint I hear about this blog is “jeeeeez, mbg, you just, you post so frequently, and they’re such short posts - could you just wait awhile longer and roll everything you want to say into a really thick post so we can really sink our teeth in, as it were?” I have been going to shows for the last couple of weeks and thinking about things to say but not writing the things. So by no means were we going to let our little halloween meltdown (most popular post ever!) shake us off our neverending parade of concerts - oh no, we have tickets purchased much too far in advance for that.
