ok, I did it

As a follow-up to our ‘greatest game’ last week, Bobby McObvious asked in the comments who was going to make the official youtube playlist. I have taken that liberty. Here is the link. I took some liberties with it, cutting out stuff I just personally didn’t want to hear (since I actually will listen to this), but uh, 130 classic 90s tracks. Please do enjoy.

The greatest game ever played

It started simply enough. A casual email thread, making plans with friends. I used the word “hooch” in passing and immediately got this back:

Becca: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBp7lqoyrok

Jess: OMG that’s exactly what i was thinking! relatedly, somehow i heard this TWICE this weekend:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5MjVyqByzU. and one of the times was on someone’s ipod.

To which I replied: do not claim to have not sung along, at least for the chorus, for we know it to be impossible. this is a good game. what is next? I’ll offer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDAXltfj8-Y

Eleven dozen tracks/links later and I think I can safely say this is the most addicting game I’ve ever played. (more…)

ESPN reaches a new level of ridiculousness

While watching SportsCenter this morning before heading into work, I heard maybe the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard on the show. I realize, considering the “expert” “analysts” they have on every day, this is quite a statement, but read on and see why I’m not being hyperbolic. (more…)

Well, so

Hi again.

It ain’t much, but. This is just so good. I was gonna put it here because my google reader wasn’t working - now it seems to be, but whatever, good excuse to post something. Enjoy more teabagging double-entendres than I ever thought I’d see on basic cable, especially outside of South Park.

Maybe more posts later.

(Triumphant?) Return

What could possibly explain a more-than-two-month absence from blogging? Simple, really:

1. Dabbling in neo-Luddism.
2. Someone smashed all my fingers with a hammer and I’ve been re-learning to type using my tongue and nose.
3. I swore off live music and have nothing to talk about.
4. My internet fame was beginning to interfere with my personal life in creepy (but erotic) ways.

I’ll let you decide which one of these is true (hint: it’s none of them.) Obviously I have a whole summerful of stories to tell you, concerts I saw wherein there were pretty girls in attendence (or even, in some cases, dogs and babies!), summer movies (did you realize there’s a NEW BATMAN movie? I wonder how it is!?) - but for my return to the internet, I want to give you guys a little something extra. A little something called visual pizazz. PHOTO AFTER THE FOLD.
